There’s going to be a food festival inside Electric Picnic and it sounds insane

Olivia Hayes

Electric Picnic is one of our favourite festivals.

It’s so much fun year after year and it’s clear to see that people love it as just a week after last year’s festival, tickets went on sale and they were snapped up.

As well as insane acts, this year will also see a mini festival happening within the festival – and it’s all about food.

The food fest will be spread over four stages, and we can’t wait to check them all out.

The Theatre of Food programme includes the Main Stage for cookery demos, the Fringe Theatre for workshops and talks, the Drinks Theatre and introducing for the first time, the Garden Stage, where acclaimed chef Caitlin Ruth will be showing us how to make dreamy meals from a food truck.

The Main Stage will feature a beautiful kitchen, and this year the Theatre is working with Pallas Foods, Kenwood and Big Green Egg, so you know you’re going to get a good feed at Stradbally.

Meanwhile, if you fancy checking out Sunday Drunch, be quick to buy tickets as they sell-out fast. The Drunch is a feasting, drinking, dancing celebration of the Irish breakfast set alongside great music so you’ll know doubt see people have a bop while eating their breakie.

The description for the food festival reads: “A disco drunch, DJ music sessions, comedy, live fire and amazing food. Come on Friday and stay til Sunday, and in Theatre of Food you’ll enjoy a unique feast of flavours and activities to feed the senses.”

We’re sold.
