The Celebrity Cyclone takes place tonight.
But while it’s normally one of the things I’m A Celeb fans look forward to most every year, it’s going to be a little different tonight.
Okay, well, a lot different.
The challenge sees the campmates face high-powered wind machines, water blasts and massive balls – among other things – while holding onto their giant star (aka: their chance at a meal).
Normally a classic group trial, this year’s Celebrity Cyclone will see John Barrowman assigned a special role – the Keeper of the Stars – while the rest of his campmates run the course.
This is due to the 51-year-old actor’s ankle injury, after he fell and sprained his ankle earlier this month. The news was revealed during the spin-off show, Extra Camp.
An I’m A Celeb trial boss said:
“We’ve had to adapt it because of John’s sprained ankle. We’ve made a special role for him.
“John’s the keeper of the stars. He has to solve a puzzle to release the stars, throw them to the other three and they’ll then take on the course.”
I’m A Celeb shared a first look at the Celebrity Cyclone on Facebook today, and it looks like it all gets off to a bit of a rocky start.
- I’m A Celebrity continues tonight on Virgin Media One at 9.10pm.
