There’s going to be an all-female remake of Ocean’s Eleven and we are OVERJOYED

Ellen Tannam

Ocean’s 11 which was released in 2001, is universally recognised as having one of the best ensemble casts of all time.

The George Clooney-helmed film also starred Don Cheadle, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia among others, and is itself a remake of a 1960 film starring the infamous Rat Pack, including Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

Well, there’s been rumours of an all-female reboot of the film for years now, but it has now emerged that Sandra Bullock is going to star in the new movie, and her rumoured castmates include Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchett.

CAN. YOU. IMAGINE.

According to Screencrush, it’s being referred to as Ocean’s Ocho, which means only eight people rather than 11. Quality or quantity.

It has been suggested that Bullock will be the sister of Clooney’s Danny Ocean character and will be up to her own criminal hi-jinks with a motley crew upon her release from jail.

YAY.

That’s all.
