There’s a whole lot of love for Abi after last night’s Love Island

Jade Hayden

Abigail – the queen we slept on.

When Abigail first entered the villa, she shook things up.

Stealing Toby from Chloe she was involved in a substantial amount of drama, before the guys headed off to Casa Amor and the girls were left alone.

Abi waited for Toby, she expected him to come back alone. She was mistaken, because Toby – being Toby – waltzed back into the villa with Mary, who has subsequently decided she’s now in a feud with Abi.

Not over Toby though. No, neither of the girls seems to care that much about him anymore – over Dale.

During last night’s episode, Abi and Mary had a conversation about the Scotsman, both saying that they liked him, had good chat, and wanted to get to know him.

As the recoupling loomed, Abi wondered whether she should just let Mary crack on or go for what she wanted, which was Dale. She eventually decided to pick him and left Mary fuming. Like, literally fuming. Like, had one conversation with the guy and now thinks she’s owed something fuming.

In fairness, perhaps Mary’s reaction wasn’t all that bad. Dale may very well have picked her if he had the chance too, so her shock and subsequent anger might not have been that out of place.

Viewers, hoever, were not all that sympathetic. Rather, they praised Abi for putting her feelings first and going for the guy she liked, as opposed to that other guy whose name I can’t remember but who seems really nice.

The episode ended with Mary starring into the fire pit with a maddening rage in her eyes, while simultaneously giving out to Clarisse and Tyler about the situation.

Regardless, chances are this isn’t going to cause half as much drama as Mary thinks. The public vote to save their favourite couple will no doubt place her – and the rest of the Casa Amor folk, tbh – in the bottom and have them swiftly dumped from the villa.

It’s only a matter of time. There’s far too many of them in there.
