“I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”

There are some classics in here.

Prepare to feel all the romantic butterfly-like goosebumps, with a trip down memory lane for some of the most romantic film moments of all time.

TV channel Drama polled 2,000 women in an effort to find the most romantic lines in a film of all time – and it seems if you want romance, you need to leave it to the ladies.

Topping the survey, published on i100, was Jane Austen’s ‘Sense & Sensibility’, while classics like Wuthering Heights, Ghost and Titanic all made the top spot.

Personally, my favourite is Notting Hill, but here’s the *official* list of the top 10 moments that are guaranteed to leave you weak at the knees:

  1. Sense & Sensibility

“My heart is, and always will be, yours.”

  1. Dirty Dancing

“I’m scared of what I saw, I’m scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you.”

  1. Titanic

“Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me… it brought me to you. And I’m thankful for that, Rose. I’m thankful. You must do me this honour, Rose. Promise me you’ll survive.”

  1. When Harry Met Sally

“When you realise you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

  1. Wuthering Heights

“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”

  1. Notting Hill

“I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”

  1. Ghost

“I love you. I really love you.

“Ditto.”

  1. Far from the Madding Crowd

“And at home by the fire, whenever you look up there I shall be. And whenever I look up, there will be you.”

  1. Love Actually

“But for now, let me say without hope or agenda to me, you are perfect, and my wasted heart will love you.”

  1. Pride & Prejudice

“In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”

Yep, we need to lie down…
