This could spell bad news for your favourite Gogglebox stars

This doesn't sound good.

According to various reports, Gogglebox bosses are worried some of the regulars have become "too famous". It's thought that the show could decline in popularity if the people taking part become celebrities and thus undermine the original concept of the show, i.e, people watching TV at home. A source told The Sun:

“The cast are the hottest things around right now and brands are offering big money to snap them up for other TV projects and endorsements, but Channel Four bosses fear the more they’re seen, the less appeal the show will have. "There have been discussions amongst the cast about negotiating any contracts ahead of the next series with what they can and can’t do".

Ratings have soared and the show has a massive following now but I can't help but wonder would that change if the cast was overhauled? The show just wouldn't be the same without Steph, Dom, Scarlett and gang. Images via Twitter: @stephanddom & @scarlett_moffatt
