These are the THREE acts you CANNOT miss at Electric Picnic

Brought to you by Electric Ireland

The countdown is well and truly on.

With Electric Picnic just days away we’re busy prepping for a weekend of music, mayhem and general good times. Tickets for this year’s festival sold out before the headline acts were even announced, so if you’re a first-time reveller or a festival queen, you’re in for a treat.

Here are a few of the acts guaranteed to make Stradbally the only place to be this weekend.

5IVE – Everybody Get Up

With special performances from 90’s band 5ive, we’re getting down this weekend at Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage. We love 90’s nostalgia so this is going to be massive. The popular 90’s band sold 20 million records worldwide before splitting up in September 2001 but we are delighted they’re back! Expect a  fun-filled display of dancing, singing and reminiscing while listening to some classic 90’s hits. We guarantee an unforgettable night of 90’s disco dancing.

Ace of Base

Another classic act from the 90’s, Jenny Berggren from Ace of Base will be taking to the stage like she never left. The All That She Wants singer will perform at The Throwback Stage and we cannot wait to hear her! We have a ton of nostalgia for 90’s music fans so this is shaping up to be one of the best Electric Picnic’s yet. The 90’s Throwback Stage is one place you could hang for the entire weekend and dance your socks off.

Get your funk on

‘Aint nobody’…Chaka Kahn’s powerful voice is sure to lure the Sunday crowd so make sure you get to this stage with time to spare. This one is guaranteed to fill up fast and you’ll want to have a good view of the performance from this 70’s funk music legend.

Festival lols

Beat the first-day fear with a fantastic line up of comedy acts, likely to have you belly laughing your way to a great second night. Comedy maestro Bill Bailey makes his debut Electric Picnic performance and Tallaght man Al Porter will have the crowd eating out of his palm, no doubt.

Go with the flow

Relax and don’t plan every last minute of the weekend. Of course, you’ll have the acts you really want to see but be open-minded enough to walk around and check out all of what the festival site has to offer. Rankin’s Wood, Mindfield, Other Voices and of course the delights that the Theatre of Food has to offer…Electric Picnic has more than a few hidden treasures.

Electric Ireland is the official energy partner of Electric Picnic. And we’re bringing 90s chart sensations 5ive, S Club Party and Jenny Berggren from Ace of Base PLUS a heap of nostalgia-filled fun and frolics, to our ultimate Throwback Stage at Stradbally this September.
