Three-part documentary series about the death of Jeffrey Epstein is being made

Paul Moore

This should be very good.

A new three-part documentary series titled Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein? is being made by Investigation Discovery, as reported by Variety.

Epstein, whose death has officially been ruled by a medical examiner as suicide, was discovered in a jail cell in Manhattan, New York on Saturday 10 August.

The 66-year-old, who was being held without bail, was accused of having sex with girls as young as 14.

It was subsequently reported that on-duty staff failed to carry out routine procedures regarding Epstein, who was not on suicide watch at the time.

That aspect, in addition to the physical nature of Epstein’s death, has led to a spate of theories and arguments that the disgraced billionaire financier was murdered.

Epstein was arrested on 6 July and charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex. Prosecutors allege that he brought as many as 40 girls under the age of 18 to his mansion for the purposes of sex.

At the time of his death, Epstein was awaiting trial on the charges.

The official synopsis for the documentary series states: “Jeffrey Epstein’s repugnant saga begins in Palm Beach, Florida. Often thought of as a high-society retreat for the rich and affluent, Epstein was first accused of trafficking young women to his Palm Beach estate in 2005 -but, somehow, Epstein escaped relatively unscathed from the law enforcement system.

“This pattern repeated and persisted through seven civil cases, until this past year, when Epstein was finally pulled into the limelight and placed in a holding cell as he awaited trial. But on August 10, 2019, Epstein was found dead in his cell.

“It appeared to be a suicide, yet forensics experts and the media began swarming with skepticism and doubt. This timely special follows the political connections, philanthropic ties, and famous friendships that Epstein fostered, begging the question: was Jeffrey Epstein’s death truly a suicide -or was it part of a far more sinister cover up?”

Speaking about the documentary series, Henry Schleiff, Group President of Investigation Discovery, has said: ‘This story has everything: famous names, wealth, sex, tragedy and suicide – or, murder. Indeed, when deaths as high profile as Epstein’s come to light, people have questions and that is why ID will seek to provide viewers with additional new information – and, perhaps, answers.”

Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein? will air sometime in 2020, although no exact premiere date has been announced yet.
