How amazing would this be!
We watched Top of The Pops religiously back in the days and to be fair, that stage saw more iconic performances than The Late Late Show.
Now though, it has been reported that bosses at BBC are hoping to bring the cult music show back to our screens on Friday nights.
According to The Mirror, executives at the network are “keen” to bring it back as it would work well with BBC Radio 1’s chart show, which has recently been moved from Sundays to Fridays.
“Top of The Pops is a great brand name and the BBC are keen to use it,” a source said.
Fearne is being tipped as a host.
“Some at the highest level are massive supporters of the plan and have given the go-ahead.”
Although the show’s comeback has not yet even been confirmed, rumours are already swirling as to who will bag the coveted hosting position with Dermot O’Leary and Fearne Cotton said to be in line for the job.
The gig will be nothing strange to Fearne, who presented the show before it was taken off air.
As for us, we’re torn between seeing Dermot alongside her, or seeing him busting a move on Strictly Come Dancing.
The possibilities are endless.
