Toy Show viewers can’t get enough of Finn from last night

Ellen Fitzpatrick

The kindest soul.

That time of year is back, we’re all waking up and rewatching clips of the Late Late Toy Show again and crying just as much as we did last night.

As the tears fell, there was one little lad that had us tearing up the most, with many online describing him as the “winner of the show” after revealing his battle with cancer to Ryan Tubridy.

Finn showed off his Lego collection and spoke about how it got him through his cancer treatment and broke our hearts when he said that his mum would help him put the pieces together when he was very poorly.

Bravely telling Ryan and the viewers his story, Finn explained that when you’ve finished cancer treatment, you get to ring a bell to tell the ward you’re “done with cancer.”

As he rang the bell during Covid and only his parents were allowed to witness it, Ryan brought out a bell for him to ring and have the world show their support.

But all didn’t go as smoothly as when Finn took to the bell, he was so excited and rang it so hard that he broke it, only making the situation more memorable.

Viewers can’t deal with his bravery and positivity, hailing him “brilliant.”

One said: “Brilliant Finn from the Déise broke the bell Bell he rang with such energy.

“What a brave lad, not a dry eye in the house.”

Richard Chambers wrote: “Finn, the absolute lad. That was a lovely moment. So simple – so pure.”

Another wrote: “Finn. That’s it. That’s the tweet.”

Ryan then surprised him with a trip to Legoland in Denmark, which managed to only make the smile on his face get even bigger.

Only melting our hearts more, Finn later returned to the stage to give Ryan a badge that he had forgotten to give him to raise awareness for children’s cancer. Finn, you have our hearts.

We don’t know how Ryan held it together with this little dote.
