Ever since Amanda Byram stepped down from this year’s Dancing With The Stars, there’s been lots of speculation as to who’ll take over her job.
Amanda shared the news on Instagram early this week, revealing that commitments in the UK and the US meant she couldn’t come back to host alongside Nicky Byrne.
“Walking away from such a successful and enjoyable show has been a difficult decision and I wish everyone the same success and enjoyment this year… keep dancing!” she wrote.
Big names including Vogue Williams and Laura Whitmore have been tipped for the high-profile gig but it’s been reported that producers want Una Healy to come on board.
“Dancing With the Stars is one of the most popular shows in Ireland and they’ll be aiming sky high when it comes to getting a new host,” a source told The Sun.
“Nicky is extremely popular with audiences and the aim is to get another big name in alongside him.
“Producers are setting their sights high and Una Healy would certainly fit that bill, she’s a big star.”
“She was a judge on The Voice of Ireland for two seasons and was a joy to work with by all accounts.
“She is also used to splitting her time between Ireland and the UK if that was a factor.
“She would very much be on the radar.”
