Viewers confused as E4 airs wrong Married At First Sight episode
E4 subsequently apologised to fans for the blunder, and assured them that the finale would air soon.
Viewers hoping to tune in to the highly anticipated finale of Married At First Sight UK last night were left confused and disappointed after Channel 4 accidentally screened a repeat on E4 instead.
Taking to Twitter, E4 explained and apologised for the mishap.
They wrote: "We're aware that it's yesterday's episode of #MAFSUK playing out this evening and apologise. It's all down to our ongoing tech issues which we're working hard on. We'll update here as soon as we know more and when you'll be able to see the final episode of MAFSUK."
We’re aware it’s yesterday’s episode of #MAFSUK playing out this evening and apologise. It’s all down to our ongoing tech issues which we’re working hard on. We’ll update here as soon as we know more and when you’ll be able to see the final episode of MAFS UK.

The show's host AJ Odudu then told fans that the new episode, as well as the companion show, Married At First Sight Afters, would be "coming soon".
Oi oi! @E4Tweets have had a little (massive) technical glitch so won't be showing tonight's #MAFSUK final. But fear not, there'll be no spoilers on #MAFSAFTERS as that won't be shown either. Both coming soon. 💒🤞🏾❤️ pic.twitter.com/XdboEd8RoZ

In another statement issued to Digital Spy, a spokesperson for the network said: "Following the incident at the weekend, Channel 4 and All 4 are still experiencing some problems and we're working hard to fix it."
Fans of the show were excited to see what happens in the explosive finale, but took to Twitter when they realised what was wrong.

To make matters worse, the scheduled programme was then replaced with an episode of First Dates.
One frustrated viewer wrote: "FIRST DATES?! NO THANK YOU!!!!"
They then added: "@E4 tweets please can I speak to the manager!!!"
Channel 4 describes Married At First Sight UK as a "bold social experiment where single people, matched by experts, marry total strangers who they meet for the very first time on their wedding day".
