The pair were a fan favourite from the beginning.
Des Bishop may have kept us entertained in recent weeks on Dancing With The Stars but it seems his dancing wasn’t impressive enough.
Although he and his dance partner Giula Dotta scored eight across the board from the judges, the voters at home sadly didn’t pick up the phones to keep them in.

Des Cahill and Karen, and Denise McCormack and her partner Ryan were also in the bottom three but scored higher with the public.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their shock with the result.
While I enjoy Teresa & Des Cahill, it's clear even to a blind man that they were the ones closest to exit #dwtsirl Travesty for @Desbishop

Des himself took to Twitter to say that he’ll be just fine.
Don't feel bad for me guys. I had a great time and @GiuliaDotta was amazing. I am on tour all over Ireland so the craic will continue.
