Keeley Ryan

Anne Hathaway is headed on a dangerous mission in the first trailer for Netflix’s The Last Thing He Wanted.

The film, an adaptation of Joan Didion’s work of the same name arrives, makes its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next week.

It will be arriving on Netflix on February 21.

The movie stars Oscar winner Anne Hathaway as Elena McMahon, a journalist who loses the thread of her own narrative when a guilt-propelled errand for her father (played by Willem Dafoe) thrusts her from byline to unwitting subject in the very story she’s trying to break.

The film also stars Ben Affleck as Treat Morrison, a government official tasked with keeping an eye on Elena. Rosie Perez, Toby Jones and Carlos Leal also star in the film.

The Last Thing He Wanted is released on Netflix on February 21, but in the meantime you can watch the trailer below.
