The Westmeath Rose stole the show.
Hate it or love it, the Rose of Tralee is still ongoing and every year, it gets a lot of attention on Twitter.
Tonight is off to a flying start with ladies from New York, Kerry and Westmeath taking to the stage to kick things off.
However, it’s fair to say that the third contestant of the night, Leanne Quinn, representing Westmeath, stole the show and people watching couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Leanne is an avid powerlifter and decided the stage was the perfect place to show everyone how it’s done, by lifting the show’s host, Dáithí Ó Sé up on her back.

Yes, that really happened and of course, viewers couldn’t really believe what they were seeing.
Some of the tweets are gold.
