White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch is the latest Netflix doc that has us talking

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Brb, have to see this asap.

Netflix has just dropped its latest documentary film and it truly has us all talking, and we’re obsessed.

White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch dropped on the streaming service this week and is really bringing us back to the hype this brand caused in the 2000s.

The film shows Abercrombie & Fitch’s popularity throughout the 90s and 00s and how the controversy surrounding its specialised marketing and discrimination when hiring affected the business.

Coming from award-winning director-producer Alison Klayman, the film features interviews from dozens of industry insiders and former employees, executives, and models.

While it only dropped on Netflix today, viewers have already given their opinion on the “wild” and “crazy” documentary.

One person took to Twitter to say: “Today the @Abercrombie documentary, White Hot, is out on @NetflixFilm
and I could not be more excited! I worked at A&F for years and remember so many crazy policies. A&F has really changed for the better and I think it’s important that we allow people and companies that chance.”

Another said: “The nostalgic feels while I watch this Netflix documentary on Abercrombie & Fitch!! “…in my high school, there were girls who would cut out the guys from the bags & hang up those pictures in their lockers.” This happened plenty in my middle school & high school.”

A third wrote: “The Abercrombie & Fitch documentary on Netflix is crazy brings back memories too of the hype over it.”

A fourth added: “Starting my work day with a hefty dose of nostalgia. Watching ‘White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch’ on #Netflix.”
