Fans are convinced season four of Riverdale is going to end with a massive time jump.
And yeah, we would totally agree.
The rumour mill got sent into overdrive this week after
TVLine posted a Blind Item hinting that an established series is staging a "significant, season-ending, narrative-altering time jump."
The higher ups on the show in questions are said to be toying with the idea of closing out the current season with a major move forward in time - around five years or so.
The publication notes that
if the time jump does end up happening, it "would have enormous implications for a number of the show’s current storylines/characters ahead of next season."
The only clue that they gave as to what the series could be was that it's on either ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC or The CW.
And following the news that Marisol Nichols and Skeet Ulrich - aka Hermione Lodge and F.P. Jones - were leaving the show at the end of this season, fans are
convinced that the show in question has to be
Riverdale.
Especially since it would put the series in the same timeline as the new spin-off series,
Katy Keene - and would open up all
kinds of cross-over potential.
