Wicklow brothers Sean and Conor Price through to X Factor live shows

Congratulations!

Keeley Ryan

Sean and Conor Price have made it through to the live shows on this year’s X Factor.

The Wicklow brothers joined five other groups at mentor Simon Cowell’s villa in the south of France as he made his final decisions.

The pair hit the right note once again with their rendition of Pink’s What About Us?.

They managed to impress the music mogul and his guest judge Cheryl to get one of the 12 coveted spots in the last stage of the competition.

The groups’ mentor told them it was “the best I think you’ve sang”, while Cheryl said the pair were “so natural and confident.”

The brothers were over the moon as they finished the performance, with Sean telling the X Factor host Dermot O’Leary the setting was so relaxing that it was “like singing for out mam and dad.”

They returned the following morning to hear the big news from Simon.

Cowell said as he delivered the news:

“What you have is this really charming naivety, and you don’t realise how good you are.

“Which is why you probably don’t realise that I’m about to say…you’ve made it through to the live shows.”

The brothers hugged each other, before rushing to hug the mogul.

Sean said:

“Aw, you’re a legend!”

The longtime X Factor judge replied:

“No, you two are.

“I could not be happier.”

And as the pair left the courtyard, he said:

“Amazing. How could I say ‘no’ to them?”
