Woman says her boyfriend offered her half of his £200k fee to let him go on Love Island

You can imagine what she said...

A woman has claimed that her boyfriend offered her half of his fee to let him go on Love Island.

Questions have been raised about whether contestants on the reality dating show are truly single after the woman told The Mirror that her man had been chosen to appear on it – despite being in a relationship.

The anonymous guy was reportedly given £200,000 to take part while keeping quiet about his girlfriend at home.

“He swore he wasn’t interested [in being on the show], then a few days later was suggesting he did it and gave me half the money,” she said.

“I said if he thought I was going to watch my man on national TV kissing and doing God knows what with other women then he was crazy.”

ITV has denied the report, saying that no Islander gets any more than the standard £250 a week pay.

It’s not the first time that a Love Island contestant has been suspected of secretly being in a relationship outside of the villa.

Paul Knope, who finished last year’s series in second place with Laura Anderson, was reported to have had an off-screen girlfriend.

It’s thought that Laura knew nothing about the relationship.

She and Paul spilt within weeks of the show ending.

Meanwhile there’s exactly one week to go until this year’s series kicks off and it looks like the first contestant has been revealed.

According to The Sun, beauty therapist Amber Rose Gill is confirmed to take part in the show.

The report says that the Newcastle based beauty has been flown over to Majorca, in preparation for the first episode on June 3rd.
