You can see why too.
If you were watching The X Factor last night, you probably watched contestant Sam Black ask his girlfriend, Emma Smith, to marry him.
All very sweet with a happy ever after for the couple after Emma saying yes to her other half, but viewers at home had another take on the situation.
People are convinced that the romantic display of affection was pre-planned and not an off-the-cuff decision from Sam.
This suggestion came after Emma came out on stage with a microphone pack attached to her back, prompting fans of the show to suggest that the proposal was pre-planned and not the surprise it was made to appear.
This has reignited fix claims yet again after recent reports suggested that producers start to have a say on what contestants make it to the judges’ houses stage of the competition.
That proposal on X factor was cute and everything but did I spot a microphone pack already on her….?

However, a statement released by the X Factor says that friends and family of the contestants are wearing microphones so that people watching can hear their reactions in full.
A spokesperson for the show told The Sun Online:
“All friends and family that are sat in the audience are mic’d up as a matter of course, so audiences at home can enjoy their reactions to the auditions.
“Sam Black’s fiancé Emma Smith was completely unaware that he was planning to propose at Bootcamp”.
The proposal came after Sam was rejected by the judges, with Simon Cowell unimpressed by his rendition of Runaway, by Del Shannon.
