It’s been a long, uncertain wait for another installment of Legally Blonde and the only lawyer we’d ever trust, Elle Woods.
In fact, it has been 16 YEARS since the second movie, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde and so, we’re only thrilled to announce that the franchise is returning and Universal Ireland has given us the official release date.
Mark May 8, 2020 in your diary and dust off your pink suit because we’re heading to the cinema.
What we do know is that THANKFULLY Reese Witherspoon is coming back to play the lead. Taking to Instagram back in 2018 she confirmed that she was working on the third movie and so, we’re buzzing for this.
Reese will also be joined by the same producers and writers for this third installment. According to Deadline, Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah (screenwriters) and original producers Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will all be working on the film.
What we do hope is that Jennifer Coolidge who has the famous line “and I’m taking the dog, DUMBASS” will also be reappearing.
Ugh, iconic.
