George King, who weighed in at a massive 15lbs 7oz after birth, is one of the largest babies ever born in the UK. The baby at the time of his birth weighed almost twice the average weight of a new-born.
His mother, Jade Packer, knew there was a problem when the shoulders became stuck while she was giving birth. George couldn't breathe for twenty minutes and was given a 10% chance of survival. Following his birth, he was rushed to a special baby care unit in a special hospital in Bristol.
Six weeks after the birth, George is doing fine with regular check-ups but doctors are clueless as to why he weighed so much, particularly due to the fact that his parents were both average babies.
