TV3 has announced that it will take on RTE’s Late Late Toy Show again this year, with a “mystery celebrity” set to host the programme.
The station previously aired its show an hour ahead of the Late Late but will try to beat RTE to the punch this year by showing the programme a week in advance, on November 21st.
Alan Hughes has presented the Christmas Toy Show in previous years but TV3 have yet to confirm who will star this year, revealing only that it will 90 minutes long and filmed at the RDS with a live audience.
“This year, the TV3 Christmas Toy Show will be bigger and better. Live from the RDS over 90 minutes, the TV3 Christmas Toy Show will feature top toy reviews, exclusive performances and nostalgic blasts from the past as well as fun, festive features and celebrity guests,” said Head of TV3 Daytime Victoria Quinn.
“It’ll have something for everyone and kick start what will be a nine-day magical experience at the RDS.”
