Bangin’.

We’ve all been there.

You’re out, you’re having a nice time, you’re not consuming alcohol for whatever reason, and someone says it.

“Why aren’t you drinking??”

There’s only so many times that you can pull out the: “I’m pregnant” or “I’m on antibiotics lol” before somebody cops on that you’re not either of those things and have, indeed, been lying for the entire time.

All of the above awkward chat could be totally avoided if you just had a non-alcoholic drink in your hand – but a lot of the time they’re expensive and totally not worth the money considering they’re, well, not actually alcoholic.

Enter the Lidl non-alcoholic wine. It’s cheap and cheerful and available from Monday.

A delight, for all.

The supermarket chain will be launching three new non-alcoholic wines this coming Monday, November 11 – so if you’re off the drink – or a non-drinker in general – they’ve got you fairly sorted.

There’s a non-alcoholic cabernet sauvignon for €2.99, a non-alcoholic chardonnay for €2.99, and a non-alcoholic sparkling chardonnay for €2.99.

There’s also a non-alcoholic mulled punch for like €1.79, for those who aren’t mad on the taste of the grape-stuff, as well as some non-alcoholic IPA for €0.99.

A decent enough selection, in fairness.
