The mother of 10-year-old Toy Show star Saoírse Ruane has given an update following yesterday’s surgery.
The Galway girl underwent a procedure to remove a tumour from her lung, and mum Roseanne has since shared that it went “as planned”.
On Instagram, Roseanne shared a picture of her daughter’s stuffed toy, Slush.
She wrote: “Just a quick update to let you all know that Saoírse’s surgery went as planned. She is comfortable and recovering in ICU with SLUSH by her side.
“This is the first of many steps on this difficult journey! We are so happy and grateful to be sitting here beside her.”
Roseanne then thanked all their followers for their love and support, as well as Saoírse’s surgeon and the entire team at Children’s Health Ireland in Crumlin.
Recently, Roseanne shared the devastating news that her daughter’s cancer had returned.

In a post on social media, she wrote: “It is with the heaviest of hearts we share this heartbreaking news.
“Last Wednesday 27th April 2022 we ended up back where it all started on December 1st 2019, in UHG.
“The very same cubicle, on the very same paediatric ward and after yet another day of tests, we (Saoírse’s parents) are sitting once again in front of a paediatric consultant being told the words we NEVER EVER wanted to hear AGAIN!”
She later added: “Saoírse (being Saoírse) is being incredibly brave and we as a family ask that you give us time now to comprehend this devastating news!”
Roseanne learned that her daughter would have to undergo surgery hours before she was due to appear on the Late Late Show to sing a track from the upcoming Toy Show Musical.
Respecting her daughter’s wishes, Roseanne kept the news to herself until after her performance with RuthAnne.
