Sometimes it’s hard to know if you’re on the right track with your weight.
While we know our BMI can indicate some cases of obesity, its not always possible to get an accurate reading or to know if you need to drop a few pounds.
So what’s an easier test to take?
The waist-to-height ratio is now proven to be a better way to tell if you’re sporting some extra belly fat, which is linked to heart disease and diabetes.
So how can you measure up?
Cut a piece of string to the length of your height, then fold it in half and wrap it around your waist.
If the ends overlap, your waist is less than half your height. This is the the ideal range.
If the string is sitting snugly around your waist, it’s time to cut back on those calories.
A simple way to keep a check on your weight (without the scales).
