Fancy A Flutter? Here’s the Betting for Tonight’s Rose of Tralee

Of course... they ALL have lovely bottoms.

Rebecca McKnight

Set your couch position to ass-groove and your kettle to “always on” – it’s that time of year again.

Tonight, the eyes of Irish TV viewers will turn to Tralee, where the 2015 Roses will compete on stage at the Dome to be named the fairest of them all.

With 32 Roses in contention and Kerry native Dáithí Ó Sé set to present once more, bookies are offering odds on the lady who will claim the tiara from the reigning Rose, Maria Walsh.

Of course if you fancy a bit of fun with your flutter, you’ll find a variety of options. Dáithí, who has been known to lend a helping hand to the Roses throughout their performances,  is 7/4 to wear an item of woman’s clothing.

The poems, songs and jigs might be more of a hindrance than a help to potential winners, as bookies are offering 11/4 for the winner to have no act at all. A Rose with a song is 7/2, a dance is priced at 9/2 and a poem is officially a long shot at 8/1.

A bit of Bucks Fizz style “whipping off the skirt” for a dance is one thing, but the chances of a  wardrobe malfunction are listed 8/1, with the sadistic bookmakers also offering 12/1 on any Rose to fall on the stage.

Whatever happens, lets just hope we get another moment like this one…
