This isn't the first time that a story of a young girl denied access to the bathroom when on her period has gone viral either.
In 2015, a frustrated mother took to Reddit to say that her 12-year-old daughter didn't go to the bathroom when she had "blood running down her leg" because she was afraid she would get detention.
