This hilarious obituary sums up the state of American politics for a lot of people right now

Dead right

Ellen Tannam

The American political scene seems to get more and more bizarre every day. As we edge closer to the election later this year, it’s looking likely that notorious Donald Trump will be vying for the Presidency with Hillary Clinton as his Democratic rival.

Both candidates have a lot of detractors for different reasons, and this brilliant obituary really shows how many Americans feel when faced with a choice between the two candidates.

It appeared in the Richmond-Times Dispatch, and it was in memorial of a North Carolina woman, Mary-Anne Noland who passed away just last Sunday.

It reads:

“Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday.”

Noland’s husband Jim told NBC12 that the obituary was intended to be humorous, and it was written by one of their three children.

We’re sure she would have appreciated it.
