We all know our angles.
We’re all well aware how to make ourselves look as attractive as possible in photos.
It’s a skill that must be learned, not acquired, but once you master it, there’s no going back.
Except maybe if you’re getting your mugshot taken… in that case getting your angles right is probably the last thing on your mind.
That is until you see the photo afterwards.
Most of us would let it go. That particular photo is, after all, hardly going to end up on our Instagram feed.
One woman who couldn’t let it go was Billie Jean Love.
Ms Love was on a most wanted list for an alleged felony violation. So, naturally, police in Montgomery decided to share an old mugshot of Billie Jean’s on their Facebook page in the hope that they could track her down.
Billie Jean, however, was not impressed.
In a now deleted comment, she took to the Sherrif’s Office’s page and wrote: “If I knew they were going to blast it on FB I would have called them to request one of my better mugshots.”
The office then replied saying: “Which one should we have used?” followed by a selection of Billie Jean’s other mugshots.
Iconic.
But the saga didn’t end there.
After deleting her initial comment, Billie Jean then decided that she was going to set the record straight, apologise to some unknown people for her behaviour, and turn herself in… all over Facebook.
“I’m so so so sorry I humiliated you and my self I’m sorry I’ve made these mistakes I should of went to see my corrections officer this IS no one’s fault but my own.
“I’ll be turning my self in tonight when I get back to SEK a very close loved one pasted (sic) and I know she would want me to do the right thing RIP KRISTI RAY. I LOVE YOU and prayers to her family Morgan ashlyn jerry and her parents I’m so sorry for your lose (sic) she was a very good person and she will always b n my heart…”
It remains to be seen whether or not Billie Jean has handed herself into the police yet.
We can only hope that they will share her latest mugshot as soon as she does.
