Prince Philip spotted driving without seatbelt two days after crash that hospitalised two women

Prince Philip was spotted driving without a seatbelt just two days after his involvement in a car accident that hospitalised two women.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Land Rover collided with another vehicle and overturned last week near the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

Two women in the other car were hospitalised following the incident. A baby had also been present in the vehicle.

48 hours later, Prince Philip was spotted driving near the entrance to Sandringham in a replacement Freelander without a seatbelt.

Images published in The Sun and The Daily Mail newspapers show the Duke driving alone on the road while wearing a pair of sunglasses.

He had stated that the sun had “dazzled” him prior to his crash on Thursday.

BBC reports that police are aware of the photos and have “spoken to the driver.”

A spokesperson for Norfolk Constabulary said: “This is in line with our standard response when being made aware of such images showing this type of offence.”

Emma Fairweather, one of the women involved in last week’s crash, said that she still hasn’t received an apology from the prince.

She said she was told she would hear from both him and the Queen, but has yet to receive anything more than a message from police that said: “The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh would like to be remembered to you.”

Fairweather broke her wrist in the accident.

Prince Philip was unhurt.
