PICS: Best and worst dressed at the Met Gala

Some stunning choices.

Laura Holland

Some stunning outfits and some equally disastrous.

The Met Gala always brings some very unique dresses, worn by the top stars and this year was no different. Included in the best dressed from last night’s event were Claire Danes, Blake Lively and Jourdan Dunn.

This year’s theme was ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology’ and Claire Danes perfectly embodied this with her Cinderella-inspired Zac Posen dress which glowed in the dark.

Just look at it!

Cindy Crawford also stood out in this metallic silver dress.

Blake Lively concealed her blossoming baby bump in her stunning baby pink dress with red flower detailing.

Also making the best-dressed list has to be Kate Hudson for her statement white dress.

Zoe Saldana’s peacock dress was one of the more unusual dresses but it just works and looks beautiful.

Model Jourdan Dunn also looked gorgeous in her silver and black fitted dress.

Poppy Delevigne stood out in her semi-sheer dress but for all the right reason. She looked amazing in the tiered fringed dress and matching gothic jewellery.

So they were our top picks from the event, but with the good comes the bad.

There were some other questionable dresses, including Beyoncé’s latex nude dress, Ciara’s barely there dress and Lady Gaga’s pantsless ensemble.

Also showing little to the imagination were Madonna and Ciara.

And Katy Pery is barely recognisable in her long flowing black dress, complete with gothic-inspired makeup.
