Like mother, like daughter.
A duo that is rarely photographed together, Kate Moss and daughter Lila Grace front the cover of Vogue Italia this month, and it goes without saying that the portraits of the pair are beautiful.
Moss has graced the covers of magazines many times after being spotted by Storm Model Management founder, Sarah Doukas, at JFK Airport, in New York at the age of 14.
At just 13, Lila Grace stars in her first front cover with her supermodel mother – who has bagged fashion campaigns for brands including Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Burberry, Dior, Chanel and is currently one of Rimmel’s better-known faces.
Vogue Italia posted the first look of the images from the issue ‘Love’ by Mario Sorrenti, where the two are dressed in Versace for the black and white shots.
Sorrenti, an ex of Moss’ and long-time collaborator, shared the image above thanking the iconic model with an “I love you” thrown in for good measure.
In an interview with The Mirror earlier this year, Kate revealed her daughter’s “embarrassment” and strong opinions on her nude modelling work, which sparked the 42-year-old to step away from stripping off in front of the camera.
“Lila has seen me nude. She went: “Yes, Mummy, there is a lot of you in those pictures.” She saw the Playboy thing – she didn’t see the inside but she knew about the whole thing…
“There are things when I think: ‘I’m not going to do that.’ It gives you boundaries.”
Will she follow in her mother’s footsteps? Who knows. But if a modelling debut on Vogue is anything to go by, there’s little doubt Lila Grace’s lip care range is just around the corner…
