Comedian Tracy Morgan may never perform again as a result of injuries he sustained in a car crash in June.

The 30 Rock star suffered serious injuries when a Walmart truck drive crashed into his limo bus, claiming the life of comedian James McNair.

It has been since alleged that the driver had been working for over 24 hours when the accident occurred and may have dozed off behind the wheel prior to the collision.

Morgan is still undergoing treatment for injuries to his brain caused by the crash and his lawyer told the New York Post‘s Page Six column this week that “the jury’s still out” on whether Morgan will return to his acting and comedy career.

“The doctors don’t know the answer. I don’t know the answer,” he said.

Morgan and his fellow passengers are now taking legal action against Walmart, while the retail chain is countering that the passengers’ injuries were caused by their “failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device”.

The comedian hit back at the claims in a statement this week, saying that “after I heard what Walmart said in court, I felt I had to speak out”.

“I can’t believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I’m fighting hard every day to get back.”
