50 Cent Reportedly Files for Bankruptcy

The music star filed the papers this week

50 Cent has reportedly filed for bankruptcy protection, according to reports in the US.

The Wall Street Journal claims that the rapper, who has also branched into the worlds of business and acting, said in legal papers that he has assets and debts both in the range of $10m to $50m.

The news comes only a matter of days after 50 (real name Curtis James Jackson III) was ordered to pay $5m to a woman as part of a case regarding a sex tape.

She alleged that the music star added commentary to a sex tape of her and her ex-boyfriend before uploading it online without her permission.

As well as a successful music career, Eminem’s best bud has made millions as a spokesperson for Vitaminwater.

He has also appeared in a number of films and is set to hit the big screen in the coming months in Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams.
