Legendary.

The life and times of the one and only Cher will soon be immortalised on the big screen. The singer and actress, who turned 75 this week, announced the news that her life is going to be turned into a biopic, co-produced by herself and directed by Oscar-winner Eric Roth. Breaking the news on Twitter, Cher used capital letters in the post, which can only mean she’s just as excited as we are about the upcoming project:

Cher will co-produce the as-yet-untitled film alongside Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman – the production duo who brought us both Mama Mia! films. In a statement, Craymer said, “Gary and I are thrilled to be working with Cher again and this time bringing her empowering and true-life odyssey to the big screen. One cannot help but be drawn to and inspired by Cher’s larger than life talent, fortitude, unique wit, warmth and vision.”
