It’s been confirmed that a Mean Girls musical is on the way. Happy Days!
Tina Fey, who wrote the screenplay and starred in the movie, shared the news at a press show in New York this week.
According to the Huffington Post, when she was asked about a possible musical Amy told the crowd, “My husband [composer] Jeff Richmond and I, [along with lyricist] Nell Benjamin, have been working on it.”
But before we get way too excited, when she also did admit that it is ‘years away’.
