A Perfect Match: Singer and Rapper Are Engaged

Dating since January, American singer Ciara and rapper Future are now engaged. The hip-hop rapper and producer surprised Ciara on her birthday by proposing with a 15-carat diamond ring. The couple’s publicist Chris Chambers confirmed the news to Associated Press on Sunday night (27 October). As a producer he has collaborated with stars including Rihanna and his future wife, Ciara. Future, real name Nayvadius D. Wilburn, is currently in the middle of a tour with Canadian hip hop superstar Drake. Ciara i a popular singer/songwriter with hits such as Goodies and Promise In 2001, Future had a son with Jessica Smith but he later questioned if he was the father of the child. Smith filed for child support in 2012, with a DNA test confirming he is the father. He subsequently legally recognized the son as his and was ordered to pay $1662 in child support each month. Another woman has claimed he is the father of her child, who was born December 4, 2012, but the claim is yet to be proven. Grammy winner Ciara is a well-known singer and songwriter with hits such as Body Party, Goodies, Promise and Like a Boy.
