The accident happened this year.
Abbie Quinnen has shown off the scars she got after a life changing accident and the reactions couldn’t be more positive.
The dancer was left with the scars after a freak accident and appeared on ITV’s Lorraine this week to share a little bit of body positivity.
The 24 year old was doing a social media stunt with her boyfriend and fellow dancer AJ Pritchard when something went wrong and she was left with third degree burns.
After a wine bottle exploded and set alight while trying to turn it into a vase, Abbie was engulfed in the flames. AJ acted quickly by putting the flames out and calling an ambulance, but eventually drove her to A&E himself with his brother Curtis.
Abbie headed on Lorraine to talk all things body positivity along with fellow burns survivor Katie Piper.

She showed the scars on her shoulders and chest for the first time since the accident, telling Lorraine that extensive treatments she has been going through are helping her skin recover.
The dancer even stripped down into a bikini, showing off her scars and explaining how it made her feel “free” to embrace her body.
She spoke about how it wasn’t just hard for herself, but her recovery has been difficult for everyone to go through and revealed that there have been so many times where she would cry just looking at herself.

With only AJ and her family ever seeing her scars, speaking to other women in the same boat help Abbie gain a more positive outlook, and fans have been praising her for it.
One Twitter user said: “Just watched this segment with my daughter. You are all such inspirational women.”
Another added: “That was wonderful. Not ashamed to say I shed a few tears watching these beautiful women telling their stories & showing their gorgeous bodies off. Abbie will be just fine I’m sure after this amazingly inspirational encounter.”
