Neil Patrick Harris has been revealed as the host of the 2015 Oscars. It is the first time the star will host the star studded ceremony, which is broadcast in 225 countries. Forty one-year-old Neil has plenty of experience, having hosted the Tony Awards four times and the Emmys twice. In a statement released to USA TODAY, the actor said: "It is truly an honor and a thrill to be asked to host this year's Academy Awards. Neil Patrick Harris will host the 2015 Oscars "I grew up watching the Oscars and was always in such awe of some of the greats who hosted the show. "To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true". The Oscars will take place on the 22nd February at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
