Newsreader Anne Doyle has received praise for her appearance on the Tommy Tiernan Show over the weekend. On Saturday evening, Doyle joined the comedian for an honest discussion about her life, career and relationships. During the interview, the TV personality outlined her decision not to have children. "Many women particularly have this issue of what's generally described as the 'ticking of the biological clock’ and I say that with respect because it's a very important consideration for women," she said. "I simply didn't have that so it wasn't an issue for me. Why? I have no idea." Doyle added that she believes she gives off a "cold" or "clinical" perception simply because she doesn't want to have children. "I just never really particularly wanted to have children," she said. "And I'm not alone in that. There are many women who for one reason or another simply don't chose to have children."
