Awww. The Obamas Declare Their Love For One Another As They Celebrate Twenty Years of Marriage

Unlike most husbands, it seems that US President Barack Obama didn’t forget his wedding anniversary and to celebrate declared his love for his wife Michelle to the world earlier today.

Who ever thought politics could be so romantic?

The President and his wife Michelle share a kiss last month.

Barack, who married Michelle in 1992, will celebrate his anniversary debating the republican presidential candidate Mitt Romley in Denver this evening, but did not forget about the important marriage milestone.

“Twenty years ago today, I married the love of my life and my best friend. Happy Anniversary, Michelle,” he tweeted.

"Twenty years together," he wrote before posting a picture from their wedding day.

Obviously chuffed with her husband’s romantic gesture, Michelle responded: “Happy 20^th anniversary, Barack. Thank you for being an incredible partner, friend and father every day. I love you.”

Love letters may be dead, but it seems the Obamas are all about sending each other romantic prose through the Twitter-sphere.

Even though Barack is debating Mitt this evening, we hope that he’ll make it up to Mrs. Obama with a candle-lit date in the gardens of the White House later this week.

We only wish our other halves were as romantic...sigh!
