Would you ever let someone make a no-holes-barred documentary about your life ala Katy Perry? Yeah, we didn’t think so, but it seems like Katy Perry isn’t the only star who is more than happy to give people a warts-and-all look into her personal life.
The Huffington Post reports that Beyoncé is currently busy shopping around a documentary film about her own career and life to a host of movie studios in Hollywood. Apparently the singer wants to make a film about her own rise to fame and offer her fans some glimpses into her personal life.
Oh, we should probably mention that in typical Beyoncé fashion, she also wants to produce and direct the project – is there anything that this woman can’t do? Seriously.
Anyway, according to reports, the feature-length documentary will combine footage from a few of Beyoncé’s concerts with a special behind-the-scenes look into her life as a mammy, a business mogul and one of the biggest-selling female artists in the world.
Can we just say that it sounds pretty awesome. Here in the Her.ie offices we all love a bit of Beyoncé (sometimes all every woman needs is a serious booty shake to ‘Single Ladies’ whether you’re unattached or happily coupled-up). Needless to say, this documentary project idea of hers is something that we can definitely get on board with.

Beyonce and Jay-Z: we wonder if Jay will be caught on camera in the documentary?
This won’t be Beyoncé’s first experience of making a documentary though. In 2010 she was the subject of a mini-documentary by MTV entitled Beyoncé: Year of 4. So she probably has a fair idea of all the ins and outs of what’s involved.
Now, the most important question of all: just what will she call it?
