The former Westlife star has been targeted by the boy band’s fanbase after he made comments about them.
Brian McFadden spoke about the boys in an interview.
Recently Brian said that he thought Niall Horan would be the first to leave the group and that he felt for Zayn during his most recent cheating scandal.
Speaking to Now magazine the singer explained: “It’s ridiculous. I’m getting death threats on Twitter. Their fans are worse than Westlife fans were.”
Brian also gave the boys some helpful advice.
The newlywed, who tied the knot with Vogue Williams near the end of last year, also said that he thinks 1D will go far as long as they remain friends.
“They can’t start hating each other. That’s the one thing in Westlife we never did. When you fall apart like 5ive did, you can’t be successful.”
And we're sure he's not just saying that to get those One Directioners off his back!
