Britney says things are “way better” than she ever anticipated in hopeful update

Ellen Fitzpatrick

She’s back.

Britney Spears has given us all some really great news in her latest update, explaining how her life has improved over the last few weeks.

Revealing to fans that everything in her life is “way better than what I ever anticipated”, she is looking a lot more positive about her ongoing conservatorship battle.

Since Britney Spears’ very public breakdown 13 years ago, she has been living under a legal conservatorship controlled her father.

Britney had been hospitalised after a mental health episode and placed in rehab, when her father petitioned the court for a temporary conservatorship, in 2008.

Since then, Britney has been more and more vocal about removing her father from this, with social media posts accusing her dad of profiting from the situation.

It was also reported this week that Mathew Rosengart, the lawyer representing her, has requested that the next court hearing is brought forward, which is currently scheduled for September 29.

Britney took to Instagram to update fans on how she’s been doing in light of the current circumstances, and she’s been keeping her head held high.

The singer said: “I’m sure a lot of you guys are wondering how I’m doing and since the cat is out of the bag, literally out of the bag, and you guys know my situation, I do wanna let you guys know that things are way better than what I ever anticipated.”

Excited by the little things, Britney also revealed that she’s bagged herself her first ever iPad, saying: “I came in the kitchen, I saw something I ordered and it is a freakin’ new iPad. I am so excited. My kids have owned one, I’ve never owned one. This is just a groundbreaking day.

“I’ve always had a little phone and now this iPad is in my hands and I feel like my life is changing as we speak and I am so excited. Upward bound! Yes!”

She’s working on herself at the moment, taking up gardening with hopes to one day have a koi pond out back.

A petition last year to remove Jamie from the conservatorship was rejected by the judge, despite Britney’s pleas that she has been abused through the conservatorship in court.
