Burn! Rob Kearney Slams Rumours of a Laura Whitmore Hookup at Electric Picnic

Irish rugby star Rob Kearney is wholly unimpressed with one Irish paper following claims he was spotted in an embrace with MTV presenter Laura Whitmore at Electric Picnic.  A report in the Irish Mirror, headlined "Rob Kearney tackles Laura Whitmore for sneaky kiss" stated that the pair were seen "smooching" back stage before being joined by 2FM DJ and Laura's good friend Eoghan McDermott. Last night, Kearney took to Twitter to discredit the article, saying the report was "inaccurate and totally untrue". He has now woven never to do another sports interview with the publication.

Whitmore rarely comments on her private life but has previously dated Corona's frontman Danny O'Reilly, before recently being linked to Scottish crooner Paolo Nutini. The report comes in the wake of Rob nominating MTV presenter Laura during his Ice Bucket Challenge. The pair are understood to be friends but if Rob's reaction is anything to go by, nothing more!
