A huge congratulations are in order for news anchor Caitríona Perry who has announced that she is expecting her second child/
The RTÉ star usually keeps her personal life quite private but after some viewers began spotting what appeared to be a baby bump, she confirmed the rumours were true.
Responding to the rumours on social media, Caitriona thanked well wishers and viewers for their support.
Posting a snap of some flowers to her Instagram, she wrote: “Just wanted to say a quick thank you to the many keen-eyed RTÉ viewers who have been in touch with good wishes.
“Well spotted, I am indeed expecting some more news of my own later this year.”

A few famous faces were quick to congratulate her, with Maia Dunphy leading the way with: “Oh that’s wonderful news.”
One fan added: “I am so delighted, this is amazing to hear, my favourite presenter.”

Caitríona welcomed a baby girl with her partner back in 2019 but has been working hard to ensure she keeps her private life to herself.
She told Irish Country Magazine: “My husband doesn’t work in the media and doesn’t want people to know his name and that’s fair enough. Now that I have a daughter, it will be up to her to decide when. she’s older whether she wants her name in the public or not.
“I feel like so much of our lives are shared now through social media that you have to keep something back for yourself.”
