It’s been over a year since Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy dominated headlines with their messy split.
The Irish golfer famously called off the pair’s wedding just days after the invites had been sent out, kicking off a very public war of words between the two.
Caroline has opened up about moving on.
While the tennis star admitted that she was “blindsided” at the way Rory ended their engagement, it is clear that she has left the bitter breakup well and truly in the past.
The 25-year-old, who is reportedly dating NFL star JJ Watt, recently opened up to the New York Post about moving on from heartbreak.
She said: “Obviously, that relationship taught me so much and made me the person I am today, but at this point, I am like, I’ve moved on, Rory has moved on, and I am ready for the media to move on.”
The tennis player has been linked to NFL’s JJ Watt.
The star also insisted that she won’t be talking about Rory again.
She added: “I am so much further along in my life, and I’m so much happier now.
“I don’t think there is a reason to go back.”
The sports couple ended their engagement last May.
Explaining her decision to speak out about the breakup at the time, Caroline revealed that she didn’t feel she had a choice.
She said: “Everybody was asking me questions and expecting me to say something.
I just thought it was more important for me to talk out loud once and get it over with.”
