Cheryl and Liam ‘to be kept apart’ after both being booked for the same show

Running into an ex is never pleasant and with the music industry being is small it was only a matter of time before Liam Payne and Cheryl crossed paths again. With new music in the pipeline for each of them, both Liam and Cheryl have been booked to perform on The X Factor live shows this autumn. Producers are reportedly working to make sure they're kept apart and don't end up appearing on the same show. Liam and Cheryl are both expected to perform songs about heartbreak on The X Factor, a source has said. "Cheryl is relaunching her music career on the show, and Liam will be trying to get a top hit after his last record, First Time, flopped," the source told The Mirror.

“It will be interesting to see how they both do when given the same platform.

“Both have written about the breakdown of their relationship in their new music, so they could end up singing about their break-ups on the same stage.

The former lovebirds each have particular ties to the show - Liam launched his career on The X Factor with One Direction while Cheryl was a judge and mentor for several seasons.

They announced that they'd broken up in July, saying in a statement that they still "have so much love" for one another. They have one son together, 18-month-old Bear.
