Prince William’s response to his and Kate Middleton’s break up in 2007 is priceless

Awkward enough now.

If you’ve ever gone through a breakup, you will be more than well aware how not ideal it is when somebody asks how your relationship is going.

It’s awkward, it’s painful, it’s probably the worst thing that has ever happened to you, or at least, happened that day.

Not a great scenario.

The scenario is even less great when you consider that the entire country is probably going to have access to your answer and, yeah, in fairness, the above wouldn’t exact be something any of us would have to worry about but it is something that Prince William had to worry about.

Back in 2007, Will was asked by a reporter how things were going with Kate, right smack bang in the middle of their couple weeks break.

The clip, filmed ahead of the Princess Diana Memorial concert, also featured Prince Harry and Joss Stone, so there were even more people around to witness Will’s sheer awkwardness.

When asked how things were going seeing as Kate was going to be attending the event, he stumbled over the following sentence:

“Er, well er, I’ve got lots of friends coming, everyone’s going to be there on the night and it’s going to be a great night basically.”

Great night yeah, Will?

Cool.

After this, Harry just starts laughing and says: “Very well avoided” which, in fairness, it actually wasn’t.

Sure look.

Will and Kate ended their break after a few short weeks and later went on to marry, have three kids, and probably some kids more too – because they are royal and that’s what they do.
